Step 2 — Try automatic Windows install first

Before formatting or installing new software, back up your current working drivers. Open as an Administrator. Create a backup folder by typing: mkdir C:\PipoDrivers

The touchscreen is the most common failure point after a clean Windows install. It requires both a hardware driver and a specific configuration geometry matrix file.

Step 3 — If automatic install fails — install Google USB/ADB driver

Do not install drivers in random order. Follow this sequence exactly.

This is the most critical step. The SoC package handles the internal wiring for power management, I2C buses, and GPIO pins. Extract your downloaded PIPO X8 driver package.

Within that folder, you should find a file called SileadTouch.sys and sometimes a *.fw (firmware) file. If an installer (.exe) is provided, run it.

The RTL8723BS is a combo chip. You need to install the Bluetooth Enumerator separately. In Device Manager, find "Unknown device" under Bluetooth, right-click > Update driver > Browse > Let me pick > Have Disk > Choose the Rtkfilter.sys file.
